Physician Assistant

  1. How long have you been a provider and what is your specialty?                                              I've been working in primary care for the last two years and public health for five years.

  2. Where are you from originally?
    Originally, I am from Detroit, Michigan aka De'twah

  3. Favorite pastime?
    For me, having a day without any physical activity, or movement is problematic. I’m out getting some movement through walks, hikes, and bike rides. When I’m not, I’m usually cooking. 

  4. Last movie watched/book read?

    The last book I [re]read was "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down" by Anne Fadiman

  5. If you weren't a health provider, what would you be? 

    I've always been interested in buildings and design; I'd love to be a city planner and architect

  6. What's the best part of your job?
    Forming human connections, building relationships, and learning how we all can help one another, no matter who you are or what you do or where you came from.

  7. One thing people may not guess about you?
    I was trained on the bass clarinet and played in a jazz band during my young adult life.

  8. What have you found to be the best part of working in community health in West Philly?
    Know how to swerve! There's something new on these west philly roads every day!

  9. What's your favorite song and why?
    Oh wow. I’m a music fanatic. I don’t think I can pick just one or even a couple favorites. 

  10. What did you eat last night?
    Watermelon salad and some baked pasta

  11. Who is the best provider at Sayre?

    Every provider has a deep passion for something specific at Sayre. Because of this special communities and commitments, the whole team is exceptional.

  12. Who would you have dinner with living or dead?
    Dinner and drinks with Maya Angelou.
    I also would have prepared a dessert to share with her. And, later, split a water ice gelati, her pick of flavor.

  14. Who is your role model?
    My mother and my father, both who taught me to work hard, give it your best, and to complete the task you set out to do.

    No idea. Too long ago.

    Doubles with channa, Lamb ghallaba, xiaolongbao (Soup dumplings), garlic kulcha/naan/paratha
