Community Oral Health Vision Statement
Optimum oral health for all in the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities served by faculty and students engaged in the pursuit of scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
The School of Dental Medicine, through its Division of Community Oral Health, emphasizes local and global community health as a core competency and highlights the integration of oral health within general health care. The Division of Community Oral Health provides oral health education, screening, preventive and clinical dental services and referrals to specialty practices within Penn Dental Medicine, all from the comfort of the Sayre Health Center and in collaboration with the Sayre Health team.
As a subsidiary of Penn Dental Medicine, the Sayre Dental Clinic gives patients empathetic and affordable access to quality care delivered by students, working under the close supervision of faculty. We work closely with the physicians and social workers to provide comprehensive and individual care for each patient.
We strive to offer affordable and accessible dental care to all of our patients. Our fee schedule is greatly reduced. We accept Medicaid and most private insurances. For those whom are underinsured or uninsured we can offer a discount based on your income. We also provide a wide array of payment options for lab services that cannot be offered at a reduced rate.
